Privacy policy

This is a static website — pages of text, no accounts, no logins, no order forms. We don't ask you for personal information to read it, and we don't sell personal information. There isn't much to collect, and we keep it that way on purpose.

What our hosting sees

Like every website, our hosting provider's servers automatically record basic technical information when your browser requests a page — typically your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser type. This is used to keep the site running, prevent abuse, and understand in aggregate which pages get read (for example, through privacy-respecting summary statistics). We do not build profiles of individual visitors.

Email you send us

If you email us — a correction, a question, a listing removal — we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to respond and to act on your request. We don't add you to a marketing list, and we don't share your email with the companies listed here or anyone else. Correction and removal emails are kept as long as needed to document the change.

Cookies and advertising

This site itself sets no cookies. If, in the future, the site carries advertising from an ad network (such as Google AdSense) to pay its hosting costs, that network may set cookies and collect information as described in its own privacy policy, and this page will be updated before any advertising goes live, with instructions for opting out where the network provides them. No advertising is active under this version of the policy.

Links to other sites

Directory listings link to fuel companies' own websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we don't control and aren't responsible for.

Children

This site is written for adult homeowners and isn't directed at children under 13; we don't knowingly collect information from children.
